Winning Streak!

The Zokos City Harvest Potluck Fundraiser event was a huge success!

Seventy people were in attendance, tons of great food, I met some fabulous food blogger people and we raised One-thousand dollars all for City Harvest!!! SAY WHAT!?!?

I made my famous Red Velvet Pancakes and this time I served them with Bourbon Maple Syrup and Balasmic Vanilla Marscapone. Add some edible rainbow confetti and it was a sensation! So much so that I won audience choice for best dish!!

I certainly am on a winning streak here but I couldn’t have done it with out my besty/biggest supporter/amazing opera singer, Michael. He acted as my sous-chef and together we brought the competition, for charity of course!!

What did I win you ask? A 10 piece Anolon copper bottom pot & pan set! I really am a lucky gay and let’s hope it keeps going!Who needs a wedding registry, right? In second place came the very cute Will Levitt of Dorm Room Dinner fame. His Green God Gazpacho was super tasty. I even asked for the recipe which you can find here along with his cute blog—> Green God Gazpacho!

There was a photo contest as well in which best photo of the evening would would win a prize. Melody Han winning picture was of MY RED VELVET PANCAKES! Folks, it’s taken 31 years for me to win anything especially to sweep a competition, So I need to revel in it, and it was for chaaaaaaarrrriiity!!

Here’s the fabulous winning photo! Thanks Mel!

Overall, the evening couldn’t have been better. Great food, great sponsors, amazing laughs, lots of booze and all for what?? yup you said it to win.. I mean for chaaaarrrrriiity!!

Till next time my little dumplings!
